“After Last Night” is the fourth track from R&B duo Silk Sonic’s "An Evening with Silk Sonic". The song features the album’s special guest host Bootsy Collins and bass player/producer Thundercat. The song signifies the first collaboration from either .Paak or Mars with Bootsy, and Mars' first collaboration with Thundercat. .Paak previously collaborated with Thundercat on Ty Dolla $ign’s “Track 6”.
The song’s lyrics tell the story of how the two are desperate to get the woman they had the night with before. Production was handled by Mars, D'Mile, and The Stereotypes, and it resembles the production from Collins' music.
