An album that should find most techno fans liking at least some of the songs. There are both slower, more ambient tracs, and faster, dancefloor-friendly songs. The synth grooves and the frequent goodies like the vocals on the first track, the Eastern samples on Secret Samanta and guitar-like synth runs on Who Are You? keep things interesting enough to distinguish Astralasia from the simplistic trance acts that sit on the same loops to the point of insanity. Astralasia are a magnificent blend of Ambient –Dub and Tribal House and a few other influences thrown in for good measure. The band, which initially grew as an offshoot of the Magic Mushroom Band, has released a number of well-received albums.
