Paul Arnold and Andrew Barnabas, a.k.a. Bob & Barn
( See also : Bob & Barn )

Bob & Barn are the nicknames of Paul "Bob" Arnold and Andrew "Barn" Barnabas, a couple of affable chaps who've been writing music professionally and involved in all manner of sound related paraphernalia since 1990.
Formerly heads of audio, music directors etc. of various emminent institutions - Sony being one of them, they left the convenience of corporations and formed a 'sound company for the new millennium' in 2001.
With a heady combination of passion, single mindedness in increasing recognition and importance of video game soundtracks, tech savvy, business acumen and a keen sense of fun and "not taking ourselves too seriously" they've managed to carve an egg shaped niche into the heart of the media world.

From writing film scores to producing McDonalds jingles with 4 award nominations in the first 5 months of 2004 alone (one of them a BAFTA) you can start to get a feel of the kind of company that's foolish enough to use a fried egg as its logo.

"Music is, after all, entertainment. If you're not having fun whilst writing it, how on earth can you expect the listener to?"

Their paths eventually crossed when they both came to work for Millennium Interactive in Cambridge.
Neither of them native to Cambridge, they both came because Millennium had one of the best attitudes to game audio in the industry.
They’d also built up a £300k recording studio, deftly putting their money where their mouths were.
Sony realised this and bought Millennium turning it into Sony Cambridge.
Bob a guitarist and trumpeter, Barn a pianist and oboist.
Between them they had interests a diverse range of musical styles, able to bring unique touches to each project.
Both classically trained musicians, Bob cites Stravinsky, Steve Vai, Danny Elfman and Francis Dunnery as influences.
Barn cites Stevie Wonder, Vangelis, Spyro Gyra and John Williams as his.
