Astrid or Ameerah is a Belgian singer/ tv presenter who raise to fame in 2003 as being one of the participants during the talent show 'Idols'. She did not win the show, but she did manage to be one of the ten finalist. As the songs she sang were quite disco'ish she got a record deal and appeared in early 2004 in one of the quarter finals of the Belgian selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest with 'Don't You Stop the Music'.
