"Rush" was the fourth single from Aly & AJ's debut album, Into the Rush. It was released as a promotional single on October 3, 2007. The promo video featured live clips and clips from Twitches, which the song was used in. On February 28, 2007, "Rush" became Aly & AJ's first ever official single. The single also became their single to debut in the Billboard Hot 100 at #92. It has since then peaked at #59. It stayed on the chart for 11 weeks. The official music video featured Aly & AJ with their friends on the beach, and practicing "Rush" in their rooms. The official video featured the microphones that can be seen in the "Do You Believe In Magic", "Walking on Sunshine", "Chemicals React", "Greatest Time of Year", "Potential Breakup Song", and "Like Whoa (Remix)" music videos.
"Rush" was written by Alyson Michalka, Amanda Michalka, Leah Haywood, and Daniel James. It was also produced by Daniel James and Leah Haywood.
