The band gained a significant amount of recognition following the release of Ruiner in 2005. The album was produced by Bill Stevenson (drummer of Descendents and Black Flag) and Jason Livermore.
A Wilhelm Scream’s fifth album, entitled Career Suicide, was released on 10/9/07. It also was produced by Stevenson.
Christopher Levesque (guitar), who had been with the band since 2001, left the band in September 2007, two weeks prior to the release of Career Suicide. His duties on the next few tours were filled by Alucard’s Mike Supina (Fall 2007) and The Swellers frontman Nick Diener (December 2007).
In January 2008, the band announced via a MySpace bulletin that Supina would become a permanent member.

But it was released as Smackin' Isaiah, it is Smackin's Isaiah material, it's no where near as good either... The I Hate ___ Ccub was suppose to release around the time the album released but Nitro being Nitro, something went wrong between them and Shock, who were to distribute it in Australia. Or something like that, I was talking to their merch guy during their tour here and he didn't say a whole lot on it and I was a little drunk. Worse, Nitro still haven't signed off for the vinyl collective cooperative label to press Mute Print.

There is no point in tagging it Smackin' Isaiah because that isn't a band anymore. Just go with the flow haha.

Anything pre Mute Print, unless you have the re-release of Benefits, should be tagged as Smackin' Isaiah, or Koen in case of The Big Fall.

!! That gives me an idea. Anybody have a high-res scan of the The Way To A Girl's Heart cover? I might be able to edit it to update the band name.

I have early stuff. It's good but nothing like Mute Print and on, it all sounds like Benefits. Hit me up on aim - Splendidtune. Also tag the old stuff as AWS.

God i wish it was easier to find full records From Smackin' Isaiah -.-

It kind of pisses me off that they never re-released their really early stuff as A Wilhelm Scream because I'm a tagging perfectionist. But hey, not like I have to worry about it until I can actually track the early stuff down :P

They are from Massachusetts in America....not canada. They are really amazing though, and their newest album Career Suicide is thier best in my opinion. Also, they used to be called Smackin Iseah...not sure fo the spelling, but they put out some albums under that name as well...They are amazing and put on a hell of a live show

you got to check out this band, I heard of them a few years ago. They have been playing together since 1992 and have like 9 albums out, and all of there music is free to download on there website. There a western canadian band, but they are pretty unknown band to my knowledge. They have a pretty cool style, which is a little different the most new technical skate punk bands. Whatever check out there website www.slushpunk.com ( all of there 9 albums aree free to download ) and there myspace page ( www.myspace.com/slushpunk )
