Taeko Onuki is a japanese pop singer and composer. She formed the pop-based band Sugar Babe with 山下達郎 (Tatsuro Yamashita) and 村松邦男 (Kunio Muramatsu) in 1973. Her first album, "Gray Skies", was released in 1976. She also produced the soundtrack for the Japanese movie "Tokyo Biyori" and won the 21st Japanese Academy Award "Best Song Award" in 1998.
