STARBOW (スターボー) was a Japanese idol trio that was active from 1982 to 1984. The group's original concept was a futuristic trio of androgynous space age idols. They were introduced as Nagato, Imato and Yaeto, three warriors from space who escaped from planet Starbow and landed on Earth to teach about love. However, due to the poor sales on their debut single, the group to changed their image and sound to a pop group inspired by Candies and the members' names were changed into Nami, Nagi and Megu. They soon disbanded in 1984.
