Biography

Голуби и Безумные Кашевары (Pigeons and Mad Porridge Makers) is a band composed of ten individuals, functioning as an entire theater, with each participant performing a designated role in their impromptu shows. Their performances are a fusion of different styles such as jazz, folk, avant-garde, industrial, and psychedelic, with a touch of punk aesthetics and artistic declamation. The group's shows are reminiscent of Soviet-era propaganda, with humorous and thought-provoking elements, presented through intricate stage design and deep content. Their performances are a must-see, transporting the audience to a different time and leaving them captivated.

The group's interests were not just limited to music-making. They also paid much attention to verbal-letter experiments, performances, and video sequences. As a result, they collected texts and drawings in a book, and video materials that initially were only meant to accompany concerts, but which eventually acquired independent value. In parallel, many paintings and collages were created. Despite some eclecticism in the choice of people and things, there was a common language that connected and created them. In any case, everything - things, people, and songs - freely migrated to each other and mixed up in a bizarre and entangled way.

The musical component of their creativity also often did not fit within the framework of the invented group. Compositions recorded by two or three members of the collective, under certain circumstances, fit perfectly into the overall concept. While sometimes, playing with a full lineup, but in unexpected conditions, the musicians began to play completely different music.
