Label manager Lindsay Boyd had his own band Mac Meda who won NME’s Single Of The Week with their debut release My Favourite Trashcan. Fueled by this success he began the label.
Signing Camera Obscura in the late 90s was a good move, their EP ‘Eighties Fan’ kicked off their career in fine style and other EPs of theirs were well reviewed. Tacoma Radar’s EPs and album ‘No One Waved Goodbye’ garnered healthy reviews but little in the way of sales.
