  My point of view: there's no "new Dream Theater" possible... only them (and we still can expect a lot more studio music & touring from them!! :-D) There are a bunch of bands who are making very cool music latelty, all of them progressive and all with a very personal style at the same time (being Circus Maximus, Porcupine Tree, Mastodon, Protest The Hero, etc. just some of them...), but I'd never dare to say "the new D.T."!!
