june 7th-10th at the farm, who's in? this year's highlights were: being right up front for Arcade Fire and MMJ, "Amazing Grace" encore at Mumford & Sons, raging at Shpongle and Pretty Lights, being baked out of my mind for String Cheese, grooving at Junip, and topping my weekend off with the Strokes. so ready for my third roo!

I already had a bandana but I found it annoying that they chose to wait to hand out free ones at sundown on the last day of the festival.

Holy shit!!! I was running on a few hours of sleep a day and ended up falling asleep on the ground while waiting for Florence + machine in fetal position. haha. I got to see the late night shows though (ratatat, girl talk!!! sooo good) I wish I had shrooms/molly/acid though. Does anybody want to plan this shit for next year?!?! Things I need: a canopy, water guns, spray paint, BANDANA

I didn't sleep in my tent, I slept under my shade next to my tent to stay cool. I was making it back to camp/going to sleep around 6am and waking up around noon. I would have had trouble staying awake too, but I was candy flipping all weekend. I was raging hard for all the late night acts on Friday and Saturday.

That was great. Truly great. I hope it works out for me to attend next year as well. :) I wanted so badly to check out the late night sets but waking up in a hot tent at 7 every morning made me have trouble staying awake during the What Stage closers, how did you guys beat the morning heat?

I had the most amazing experience!!! My Morning Jacket and Robert Plant were probably my two favorite shows... both were MIND blowing -- and everyone was so fucking polite, the atmosphere was so amazing! I can't wait until next year!!

pretty much had the best weekend ever. everyone was SO FRIENDLY. i'm used to English festivals where there's a general air of belligerence and the smell of burning tents, so it was such an amazing change that everyone i talked to was polite as fuck and really interested in talking to new people, and the atmosphere was super positive all weekend. basically: THANK YOU 'ROO PEOPLE.

I had a blast. Friday was epic as fuck...Florence, MMJ, Arcade Fire, Bassnectar, Pretty. Fucking. Lights. They all killed it, but I think Pretty Lights might have been my favorite set all weekend. The glitter bombs and paragliders at What Stage in between MMJ and Arcade Fire was unbelievable. Wayne was the biggest letdown, I felt like he lacked a lot of energy. Wiz had a lot better stage presence than Wayne. String Cheese Incident was fucking CRAZY. I had never listened to them before but they blew my mind...especially the magic fairy and the forty foot tall t-rex. I was surprised at the amount of people who were tripping balls and just standing there, not dancing or anything. Also, you do not need to bring your huge fucking backpack if your plan is to go dance in the front where it is crowded. Your huge fucking backpack keeps hitting me as you sway side to side. Oh well, no ones owns the dance floor I guess. I can't wait until next year!
