Description

After 34 years of touring the world, Steve Harley still says, "Playing Live is the biggest thrill there is. Every night is different. Every audience and every town have their own personality, and I am a relentless explorer".
Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel will be appearing in a show that will cover a 12-album career, with tracks from each one.

The Human Menagerie, the band's debut release, caused a sensation in 1973, with a 40-piece orchestra and 30-piece choir augmenting the band on Steve's mega-hit, the mysterious "Sebastian" and the enigmatic "Death Trip." The current release, Quality Of Mercy has been described by many as possibly the best album Steve has ever made.

Steve Harley is an Ambassador for The Mines Advisory Group, leaders in the fight for landmine clearance, and has lead fund-raising treks through the jungles of Cambodia and, recently, across the arid plains of Death Valley, the hottest place of earth. Steve says, "I need to keep moving and exploring. I love adventure."

For the past 8 years, Steve has written and presented "Sounds Of The 70s", a weekly show on BBC Radio 2.

The list of hits is considerable, including Judy Teen, Mr Soft, Here Comes The Sun, Mr Raffles, Love's a Prima Donna, but the biggest of all is, of course, Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me". The song has been covered by other artists over 100 times, in several languages.
