For one night only we present our Aarhus 2017 Artist-in-Residence, Anohni, in a special concert to present her new album of songs arranged and recorded here in Aarhus with the fantastic Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and Concert Clemens Choir.
Anohni is known for her beautiful, delicate, almost overground singing voice and broke through the musical sound wall in 2005 when, as a singer of the band Antony and the Johnsons, she received the premier British music award, a Mercury Award, for this year's album.
When she comes to the Musikhuset in november, it is the result of a unique artistic collaboration with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra. The collaboration was founded when she played in 2015 with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra at NorthSide. The festival concert certainly counted away, but the concert was nevertheless magical. Therefore, Anohni returns to Aarhus and the Symphony Orchestra to record a new album and give a concert in Aarhus 2017.
