This was bloody amazing and completely different to how I imagined. I loved how they translated the Loveless sound for the live audience by playing really, really loud. It took, like, two days to recover my hearing. The twenty minute single chord thing they did at the end got old VERY quickly, though.

"You made me realise" is like basejumping into a broadside from the USS Wisconsin. Not just a gig...a seminal life experience

that holocaust at the end was obliterating. never heard anything like it, it was incredible.

I'm usually very dubious about 'comeback gigs' but no worries with this one. It was every bit as stunning as I'd hoped. Glad it gave people too young to have seen em back in the day a chance to experience the best live band they'll ever see. They were just as great as they were back in 88-92 (and if any other old farts tell you otherwise, just ignore them!)

Okay maybe not the MBV t-shirt. It's smelly right now. But maybe anyway...

I will be the guy with big red hair, brown MBV t-shirt and a beaming face. I apologise in advance for my extreme happiness before, throughout and after. It might become grating. But I can't help the way they make me feel.

I've decided to make the most of my last few days in London. If anyone is selling tickets, I'll be around the venue a few hours early (in my black nine inch nails shirt) looking for anyone with an extra. Hope to see you there!

Oh well, good taste in cats anyway. Enjoy the gig and don't forget your earplugs.

Does anyone know what time Graham Coxon and MBV will be on. Going to be running late but don't want to miss them. I guess will be the same as previous three days. Any ideas?

Gman1969 wrote:
Ha Ha! Just to clarify (before I get lots of messages from his fans), despite also being called Graham (and being almost as old as he is) I'm definitely NOT GC!

Hmm, Gman1969 is called Graham and was born in 1969 and doesn't care who the support is. Mr Coxon, I claim my five pounds :)

I hope the annoying fat bloke that everyone's been gong on about from Fri and Sat isn't at this gig too! Having said that there were plenty of twats at MBV gigs back when I saw them as a skinny teenager in 1989! Didn't change the fact that they were still the best live band I've ever seen (and I've seen hundreds since). Can't frigging wait. Who cares who the support is? We'll have forgotten about it 2 seconds into MBV anyway!

oh my... yep, graham coxon confirmed on the atp website! certainly interesting

I can't wait to see all those hipster kids (who bought tickets cos MBV are a cool name to drop these days) running away with their fingers in their ears, halfway through "You Made Me Realise" He he he!!
