Description

PULP find fame on the world stage in the 1990's with anthems including 'Common People' and 'Disco 2000'. 25 years (and 10 million album sales) later, they return to Sheffield for their last UK concert. Giving a career best performance exclusive to the film, the band share their thoughts on fame, love, mortality - and car maintenance. Director Florian Habicht (Love Story) weaves together the band's personal offerings with dream-like specially-staged tableaux featuring ordinary people recruited on the streets of Sheffield. PULP is a music-film like no other - by turns funny, moving, life-affirming and (occasionally) bewildering.

This screening will be followed by a Q&A with Jarvis Cocker and Candida Doyle chaired by Luke Turner from The Quietus.

Luke Turner is co-founder and co-editor of The Quietus online music magazine and Quietus Phonographic Corporation record label, as well as a freelance writer for Q, The Guardian, NME, Stool Pigeon, Vice, Electronic Beats, Dazed & Confused and Caught By The River. The Quietus is the UK's leading online music publication, with over half a million readers a month. We have an enthusiasm for strong tea, high volume, and unusual melodies in modern music.
