Description
It's fair to say we're excited to announce this show. Jen Cloher and Husky just seem like the perfect match up for two solo performances at The Melbourne Folk Club.
Jen Cloher has been releasing music since 2005, and her debut album Dead Wood Falls was nominated for an ARIA in 2006. She released the cracking album In Blood Memory last year that was nominated for the Australian Music Prize, and she has also been busy running the very successful workshops I Manage My Music, alongside a side project with Mia Dyson and Liz Stringer. Watch Jen HERE and HERE!
Husky have just announced a new single 'I'm Not Coming Back' and will have a new record out soon. They're touring with the full band in July but frontman Husky Gawenda will be joining us in August for a very rare solo performance. Husky came out of nowhere in 2011, winning Triple J Unearthed and becoming the first Australian band ever signed to iconic US label Sub Pop Records. They also supported the likes of The Shins, Neil Young, City & Colour and Devendra Banhart. We bet there will some cracking new tunes in this set. Scroll down to watch their video.
